I'm still ttc dc3 so plenty of time yet but can't help think of names. What do you think of Quinn? For either girl or boy?

I really like it, for either girl or boy, but then I used to know a lovely American (man) with the name so have positive connotations!

Mutteroo · 12/01/2014 19:27

Cool name. Suits either sex & not a common place name.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 12/01/2014 19:37

Dislike it for a boy but detest it for a girl. Sorry.

southerngirl25599 · 12/01/2014 19:54

I love it, for both sex and it's not to common.

CajaDeLaMemoria · 12/01/2014 19:58

It reminds me of Mad Dogs.

So it's a man's name, to me, and I don't like it because the character wound me up a bit.

BEEwitched · 12/01/2014 20:13

I like it for both genders but prefer it for a girl.

hawkmcqueen · 12/01/2014 20:23

I just think of it as a surname and haven't met one in RL. It could quite possibly be cool?

natandmat · 12/01/2014 20:26

I have a girl Quinn! Love it!

KareKare · 12/01/2014 20:29

I'd be worried the child would be teased and called Quim.

I went to school with a girl whose surname was Quinn and she was called that. Not nice.

Weeantwee · 12/01/2014 20:39

I quite like it as a boys name, not sure about a girl though.

Squeakybeaky · 12/01/2014 21:13

I am 32 and have never heard of quim. Have just had to google it!

AuntieStella · 12/01/2014 21:18

It's too close to Quim (especially if you have uneven handwriting) for me to like it. Though it might work on a boy.

gruffalosfriend · 12/01/2014 23:00

I only know boys named Quinn, sometimes short for Quentin. I like it.

But I don't find it feminine at all, so definitely a boys name for me.

Maeve789 · 12/01/2014 23:02

No, way too banal.

What about Super Quinn Grin

TheAfterDark · 12/01/2014 23:12

Love it... Definitely a girls name for me... (Glee fan)

g5linda · 18/01/2014 17:14

My 10 year old GIRL is Quinn and completely suits her.

squoosh · 18/01/2014 18:49

Have met lots of people with Quinn as a surname, doesn't work for me as a first name.

peppinagiro · 19/01/2014 10:33

Quim. For sure. She'd have had an awful time at our school (or he, for that matter. Quims are gender neutral!). Don't do it.

Even without the quimness, it's just a bit American sounding for me.

jazzyjenbo · 19/01/2014 13:11

There was/is a girl in glee called Quinn and I know a 3 yr old girl with this name. Like it x

sleepingbeautiful · 19/01/2014 19:43

I know a male one and a female one. Quite like it as a boy's name, really dislike as a girl's name.

LePetitPont · 20/01/2014 18:52

There was a Quinn in One Tree Hill too - definitely a girl's name.

gruffalosfriend · 20/01/2014 18:58

Sounds so masculine, like Finn.

Don't like it for a girl at all.

DianaOfThemyscira · 20/01/2014 19:03

There is a character on the American TV series Dexter (about a pathologist-by-day-serial-killer-by-night) named Quinn.

He's a bit of all right :D

cantthinkofagoodone · 20/01/2014 19:11

We have one and he is awesome.

About a 50/50 response from people who either LOVE itor say aafter a pause that it's interesting.

poorincashrichinlove · 20/01/2014 19:30

Love it. Immediately thought of a boy, but it's cool for a girl too. I did think quim though.
