Just that really. And what middle name?

:)

Cecily. Clemency could never do anything legal / judiciary / law / policing related.

Middle name: Depends on your surname. But I would think a one syllable name.

Wombmates · 11/01/2014 18:23

Surname is one syllable, starting in D and sounds like Mean. :)

I thought a 3-2-1 in terms of syllables would go quite nicely - i.e. Cecily Alice Dean (Alice is just an example here)

Oh, I love Cecily! I'd use it if a cousin hasn't got there first.

Middle names:

Cecily Imogen
Cecily Grace
Cecily Josephine
Cecily Margaret

TheBookofRuth · 11/01/2014 18:27

Cross post - not Josephine if your surname is Dean then!

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 11/01/2014 18:31

Cecily Alice is lovely. Also like Cecily Anna, Cecily Esther, Cecily Catherine.

And I know it's not the 3-2-1 pattern but I like Cecily Eleanor too.

Lottystar · 11/01/2014 19:53

Cecily definitely! I adore that name, so feminine and yet strong x

sleepingbeautiful · 11/01/2014 20:00

Cecily!
I like the Cecily Margaret suggestion. Also:
Cecily Anne
Cecily Eve
Cecily Jane

sleepingbeautiful · 11/01/2014 20:03

Oh I get the J thing now pp!
Not Cecily Jane then.

Cecily Rose

One of my middle names is Clemency, and I'm not amazingly keen on it, plus I don't think it lends itself to any nice nick names. I prefer Cecilia to Cecily.

I think with your short surname you could have a one, two or three syllable middle name and it would scan nicely.

Cecily May Xean
Cecily Mabel Xean
Cecily Margaret Xean
Cecily Marianna Xean possibly too much of a mouthful :)

I love the name Cecily but DH didn't so we had a Katherine instead.

Cecily Grace sounds beautiful.

I always wanted 'family' names as middle names, so my other likes were

Cecily June
Cecily Renée
Cecily Mae
Cecily Marchella

newyearhere · 11/01/2014 23:28

Clemency is a very pretty name with a good meaning.

I find Cecily a bit prim TBH.

squoosh · 11/01/2014 23:30

Cecily, just so I could go for the nickname Cece.

Cecily alone is a bit po faced.

CarlaVeloso · 11/01/2014 23:31

Doesn't Cecily mean blind?

I sort of like it but I do want to So Silly. And Cess isn't a great nn.

Clemency used to be my girl crush name but DH vetoed it as it made him think of people on death row.

CarlaVeloso · 11/01/2014 23:32

Also Cecily v tricky if child has a lisp.

Wombmates · 12/01/2014 16:37

Thanks for all the replies.

Carla I doubt we would be using Cess as a nickname Hmm but yes I do think it means blind, although my name means ''of Christ'' and I'm an atheist so, hey ho!

NN more than likely Cece but to be honest, I like the name as is.
:)
