Our dd2 is due in less than 2 weeks. We have decided on Matilda but now I'm awake reconsidering our very first choice(before we knew it was a girl) of Georgia, we discarded this for Daisy then unanimously settled on Matilda. Now I'm wondering did we make a mistake. If you had to choose between Georgia & Matilda, which would you choose & why? Xxx

Like both but prefer Mathilda - Georgia is very popular round our way at the moment.

Matilda.

Georgia is wildly popular in my immediate local area and has been since the mid 1990's. There are so many!

Wishfulmakeupping · 05/01/2014 18:37

shazbean and alis can I be nosey please and ask if you both live down south I know it is popular there? Thanks

BikeRunSki · 05/01/2014 18:39

Matilda is far, far nicer than Georgia. I suspect there will be a lot of Georgia and Georginas this year after Prince George.

I prefer Matilda.

ricecakeaddict · 05/01/2014 19:23

Georgia gets my vote as I think it's great for babies, children and adults. In terms of current popularity, Matilda was a few places higher than Georgia in the last ONS results. Are those commenting on Georgia's popularity talking about for all under 18s or for babies born in the last few years?

ToffeeOwnsTheSausage · 05/01/2014 19:23

Matilda definitely.

Georgia is boring imho.

ToffeeOwnsTheSausage · 05/01/2014 19:25

Matilda with an H looks awful.

Rtfairy · 05/01/2014 19:36

Definitely Matilda! x

JanetAndRoy · 05/01/2014 19:38

I like Matilda most, and prefer Georgina to Georgia.

shazbean · 05/01/2014 20:20

No, in Scotland.

Rosencrantz · 05/01/2014 20:52

I find both names twee.

Have you considered Georgina?
