What do you think of the name Luna for a girl? I worry that it's gonna get mega popular and seen as a bit of a celebrity name seeing as a few celebs have used it. Do you like it? Will it become trendy?

I know of loads of Luna's born this year and last.

It's pretty but it's already been commandeered by the WAG brigade.

I do like it but would worry about the potential for the nasty addition of 'tic' on the end :-(

My 2 have pretty (possibly boringly) traditional names, dd's is biblical and ds is Celtic, sometimes wonder if we should have been a bit more adventurous though
When we were thinking of names though, we did go through all the possible additions/adaptations/shortening a of the names we thought of though

We were careful with our kids names too.

Worry that the eldests is a bit common now.

I quite like it and don't know any others (SE coast here).

The character in HP is eccentric but quite cool imho, I can think of worse ones to be associated with.

Other ideas...Stella, Estelle, Aurora, Skye?

I really like name Luna! It sounds very pretty, powerful and all around pleasant. Its flow really well and easily pronounceable.
