Hi, just wanted some advice on girls names as my husband and i can't decide which one sounds the prettiest:
Megan, Sienna, Emma or Melissa? Thank you!

I like Emma best.

Frikadellen · 30/12/2013 18:49

Melissa

Emma is just too used for me but pretty enough.

Megan I find a harsh sound never cared for it

I don't care for Sienna as a sound..

Emma

I like Megan best.
Emma is a bit wishy washy.
Not fussed either way on Melissa but Sienna is nice.

Megan is the "prettiest" to my ear.

Emma is ok, just a bit bland.

I think Melissa and Sienna would sound nice in a posh English accent, but could easily sound "trashy" in an accent like mine (a sort-of Essex accent).

DramaAlpaca · 30/12/2013 20:34

Emma and Sienna for me.

I think Megan is quite harsh sounding, and Melissa is a bit fussy.

Emma

Most great, but I personally dislike Sienna.

I just said goodbye to one of my best friends Meg, who moved back to her home nation (we are all ex-pats here). Her full name is Margaret but always known as Meg. She is so, so full of life and fun so as you can see I am very keen on any name that can be shortened to it! There are also lots and lots of soft names for girls around right now ending in 'y/ie' and 'a' so Megan would stand out against them.

Melissa or Emma.

MadIsTheNewNormal · 31/12/2013 14:17

I like Emma or Sienna.

Bored stiff with Megan and don't really like Melissa. It's a bit 70's American for my tastes.

ToffeeJungle · 31/12/2013 18:36

Love Megan - very pretty; though hate Meg which to me is not pretty at all.

Emma is lovely, a classic.

Melissa is ok though I don't like Mel.

Not keen on Sienna.

I think Megan is a beautiful name - and reasonably different, at least where I live. I like Sienna too. Emma is ok - but somehow sounds too grown-up for a baby (though I appreciate she won't be a baby forever!). Melissa I really don't like.
