Posted our short lists last week looking for inspiration. We were shocked to find out it was a little girl we had as convinced we were having a boy. A week in and still cant settle on a name. We have finally narrowed it down to ....

Poppy
Lois
Molly

which is your favourite?

Poppy (bias)
Molly
Lois

Another vote for Lois.

Others are very overused near me.

Vonnie7 · 30/12/2013 18:34

Lois is lovely but Poppy and Molly?! Sorry but just not my taste, maybe ok for a baby but not an adult.

Thurlow · 30/12/2013 18:35

Lois. Unusual but still familiar.

PeanutPatty · 30/12/2013 18:36

Lois!

Smartiepants79 · 30/12/2013 18:39

Molly, poppy and lois last of all.
Don't really like Lois at all and I have a Molly so slightly biased.
And I know both an adult Molly and Poppy, both very strong women.

AlexVause · 30/12/2013 18:41

Lois is lovely.
Congratulations! Thanks

Frikadellen · 30/12/2013 18:41

Lois

Molly

Poppy (known 4ALL right little spoilt madams and I can't get past it)

TheFutureSupremeRulersMum · 30/12/2013 18:45

Poppy

Molly makes me think of Molly Weasley - a very grating character. Not keen on Lois.

GlaikitInAPearTree · 30/12/2013 18:47

Lois is the only one that grows with a child into adulthood.

Wombmates · 30/12/2013 19:28

Molly
Lois

Poppy

What about Polly if you like Molly and Poppy (sorry not trying to confuse you further) :)

Congrats!! Thanks

Lois is fantastic easy to spell stylish name X

HoneyandRum · 31/12/2013 13:43

I would choose Lois, this is because currently the nation's primary schools are heaving with short names ending in "y". As an example my seven year old niece is called Polly, her three best friends are Molly, Lily and Milly - all in her small primary school class!

Lois - because it is the most unusual.

Molly - it's a nickname for Mary. Mary known as Molly?

Not keen on Poppy - too popular already.

Misfitless · 31/12/2013 16:56

Lois!

Congratulations Thanks!
Have you considered Esther?

sarahquilt · 31/12/2013 20:39

I like Molly.

RaRa1988 · 01/01/2014 16:44

Congratulations Smile Lois is a beautiful name - choose that! She'll never be common, and it sounds lovely. Lois all the way!!

...but if you really won't, go for Molly - much nicer than Poppy!

TallulahBetty · 01/01/2014 16:47

I am a Lois! Deffo go for that. Although I must say to the person who said it can very pronounced Loys - no it can't Confused that is a completely different name. It is always Low-is and it is Greek Smile
