Anyone been on this site? I love it - my fave on there is a little boy named 'Severus Danger'.

Oh my gosh those names are incredible!

IneedAsockamnesty · 26/12/2013 20:33

Some of them are not that different

VworpVworp · 26/12/2013 20:52

Yes- that achingly hipster-ish name... Rose Hmm

I feel for the child named 'Vandal' though Sad

Fifibluebell · 28/12/2013 14:05

Some of them are right up my street! I must be a hipster Hmm

I don't get it. Have the parents of those kids submitted the pics and names?

Not sure I approve, tbh. It seems a bit of a shame to point and laugh at kids cause their parents chose an unusual name.

Flidais · 28/12/2013 16:34

I think it's quite sweet. Not sure anybody's pointing and laughing, although some of the site's name-suggestions are (I hope) tongue-in-cheek, the submissions seem to be from real families with a bit of backstory about how they came up with their name.
I like it. Lots of people scoff at unusual names, but forget that there's a real family with a story behind their choice (and my DD has a mega-traditional 'boring' name!)

MmeLindor · 28/12/2013 17:00

If it is the family who are submitting, then it is ok. I wasn't clear if it was also folk lifting pics and names from FB to submit.

Lebkuchenlover · 28/12/2013 22:25

Those kids and parents seem very proud and confident of their names and some have lovely meanings/associations. I certainly don't think that anyone is laughing!

Zero is awful... The connotations of growing up as nothing! Blush
