Wouldn't Isla Belle get misread as Isabelle?

I'd be avoiding anything that sounded like a place... Isle of....

NannyWaines13 · 05/12/2013 14:37

I know 3 Isla's. They are Isla Grace, Isla Evelyn & Isla Betsy.

AndWhenYouGetThere · 05/12/2013 15:52

Isla Jasmine is on my list.

Isla grace

I think middle names should have some personal significance, eg family names, and would avoid filler names like Grace, Rose and May which ate ubiquitous and frequently paired with Isla - go for something more distinctive.

pinkbear82 · 06/12/2013 07:51

Rose would be beautiful.

Thanks for all of your suggestions :)

I am very conscious of making sure she doesn't sound like an Island :) Mind you after hours of saying "Isla this" or "isla that", everything starts to sound like an Island anyway!

I was going to have Isla Alice until I found out I'm having a DS!

Varya · 07/12/2013 16:37

Isla Kate sounds good to me. A middle name of one syllable perhaps?

GwendolineMaryLacey · 07/12/2013 16:40

I'm desperate to say Wight :)

You need a one syllable name with a consonant so something like Claire, Ruth, Kate, Jean.

TeaAndFag · 07/12/2013 17:32
