I introduced myself to someone a while back and as soon as I said my name he went 'oh dear' quite seriously and said that he'd never met a nice one of anyone with my name. I felt a bit about that on behalf of my namesakes and me, so now I try to not be influenced by bad connotations with names.

My name is quite common (cited on this list) and I have the opposite phenomenon which is expecting to really like anyone I share my name with- so I always get on great with them. We are all lovely!
