Finally discussing ttcing again (recent MMC) and my favourite topic of names is now back in my head.

I have a Meg.

It was the only name I loved, so cannot think of anything else I like as much.

Our mmc was at 11 weeks but I had a name in my head incase it was a girl and feel.honestly that I couldnt use it (as a first name at least. It was Olive)

Please offer me some suggestion Grin

Ooh really like Ruby. Id always discounted it as my closest friend loves it, however she didnt use it when she had a DD so I wouldnt feel guilty using it now

nicename · 28/11/2013 22:46

Is it short for something?

OverlyMe · 28/11/2013 22:47

Bethan
Mabel
Kitty
Poppy

MortifiedAnyFuckerAdams · 28/11/2013 22:50

Bethan is lovely but Meg is Meg due to Little Women so would feel a bit twee having a name which will probably be shortened to another LW name.

Meg and James. Gorgeous names!

We live these names unfortunately wasted them on our stupid fat cats

LastOneDancing · 28/11/2013 23:02

Love.
Not live obvs.

reelingintheyears · 28/11/2013 23:04

Meg used to be short for Margaret along with Peggy.
Short for Megan too.
It's nice.

NOT Mabel, it was my Mum's middle name and she loathed it. Grin

greeneyes1978 · 28/11/2013 23:42

I'd have a Jack but then I do love the white stripes!

Mrsindecision · 29/11/2013 06:44

Kate
Tess
Lucy
Emma
Scarlett

Wishfulmakeupping · 29/11/2013 06:48

Tess is nice
Adding Iris to list popped into head when I read Meg
Bill or Billy for a boy (Full name William) would be very sweet too 'Meg and Bill' awwww

MortifiedAnyFuckerAdams · 29/11/2013 07:53

Bill/Billy great too

I know.Meg is traditionally short for.Margaret/Megan but I.said.no.in this case as she is just Meg on the BC.

Sorry to hear about your mmc Thanks Beth goes really well with your DDs name,I doubt anyone would make a Little Women connection! I think these go nicely with Meg too:
Tess/Tessa
Violet
Jessica
Iris
Lucy
Katie

Ilovekittyelise · 29/11/2013 22:55

i was on the mog train too! no offence to meg, lovely name, i just have a witch obsessed toddler!

im not one for caring hugely about how names sound together, but i do think alliteration works well with an "m" (unhelpfully mork and mindy pops into my head).

trying to think of nice m names. meg and mary? meg and marissa, meg and martha, meg and marcy/marcia.(just top of head thoughts!). meg and maeve?

for boys all the combos i can think of are stupid meg and mort, meg and milo etc. grrrr i cant get rid of alliteration.

MortifiedAnyFuckerAdams · 29/11/2013 23:55

Love Martha. I always liked Max but fear its too twee to have Meg and Max
