Haven't found out what sex baby is.

Girls name I like but cannot use
Emma
Emily
Scarlett
Jayne
Sophie/Sophia/Sofia
Ella.

Boys name I like but cannot use
Jack
James
Thomas.

That's all I can think of. Any suggestions? I really dislike old granny chic names. So please no suggestion of Martha, Mabel, etc.

Many Thanks

hate and fluff thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately I don't like the names/know too many with them/wouldn't go with surname.

I don't like either of those suggestions. They sound way too posh.

I love Herbie! How about other cool "grandad" names:

Stanly
Wilfred (Wilf or Fred)
Arthur

squoosh · 01/12/2013 05:43

You like Grandad name but not Granny names.

ThedementedPenguin · 01/12/2013 07:59

No I don't want another grandad name.

Dp loves Arther but I don't.

Top boy name for me at the minute is Jake.

Yes Squoosh, I really dislike all granny chic names. I haven't heard one I like yet.

we know a baby Herbie, his older brothers are George and Oscar.

ThedementedPenguin · 01/12/2013 08:40

Max was on the list for ds.

George is out as there will probably be loads after the prince.

Oh I probably should of mentioned at the start, but no Irish names. It can't be Irish in any way as it's a big deal where I'm from.

Thanks for suggestions. Will go through them properly tomorrow.

Thanks for suggestions.

However, it's clear that most names being suggested are not right for me. They are too old, or posh sounding.

Therefore I think it's better to leave suggestions as is for now. Until I can figure out a few names I like which would be a better starting point.

Thanks again to everyone.
