Rachel?

Leeds2 · 28/11/2013 17:43

I know an 11 year old Raelle, although she isn't known as Rae!

aoife24 · 28/11/2013 17:55

I knew a Marjory who went by 'Rae'. Marjory is a bit much though.

Frontdoorstep · 28/11/2013 18:37

Why does it need to be a nn for anything. I think Rae is lovely for a girl, just call her Rae.

nooka · 28/11/2013 18:51

Rae is a family name in my dh's family. Not short for anything.

Rachael is the most obvious, but Desirae? Lorraine?

PestoFlashissimos · 28/11/2013 18:57

Rayburn

Raydar

Grin

I love the name Rae too! Similarly to marriednotdead I just knew one Rae and she is middle aged but fab - Rae is on my longlist tooo. Just Rae, no long form :)

honeybeeridiculous · 28/11/2013 21:46

I went to school with a girl called Rae-Rae, I kid you not!
She must be a 50 year old woman now, wonder if she still calls herself by that name?!

AmeliaToppingLovesShopping · 28/11/2013 21:58

Rayanne

usualsuspect · 28/11/2013 22:00

Rae is a name in its own right.

It's not a nn.

Umpire · 28/11/2013 22:01

Raonadh

Yika · 28/11/2013 23:01

I like it as a name in its own right (spelt Rae).

CousinCairngormMcWomble · 28/11/2013 23:12

Rowena (subtle Harry Potter link could be popular when she's a little older!)

Rebecca/Rebekah

Claire
Mairi

Anything you want really!

CormoranStrike · 30/11/2013 18:15

Raisa - as in Gorbachev.

ThePigOfHappiness · 30/11/2013 18:19

Mairéad (mar ayd)
Réiltín (Ray ult een) means little star in Irish though I've only ever known it to be used for a still born girl Hmm

KateCroydon · 30/11/2013 18:38

Mary. Now that's a great name. Classic, elegant and bound to be the only one in the class.

BlackberryandNettle · 30/11/2013 20:53

Could be a nickname for Rosemary?

BlackberryandNettle · 30/11/2013 20:55

Or Arabella at a push?

TallulahBetty · 02/12/2013 18:57

I know a Reagan, nn Ray.

Mattissy · 02/12/2013 19:16

Read The Playdate by Louise Millard, the little girl in it is Rae.

My friend Rachael gets Rae for nn

Mattissy · 02/12/2013 19:17

Louise Millar, stupid phone!!

Zhx3 · 02/12/2013 19:20

moominface · 03/12/2013 22:14

wishywashywanda · 03/12/2013 22:19

RubyGrace17 · 04/12/2013 17:38
