Not flora, spreads easily......

I know what you mean squoosh. But I think Clementine goes with Skye and Arlo. It sort of "lifts" them. Not that theres anything wrong with them, but it balances them so that they are not too trendy as a set. I think Zephyr would have the opposite effect and the 3 names would sound very modern together.

I have a very similar problem with number 3 expected any day. Am watching this thread cos I have a similar naming style.

What does your DP think of Juniper? It's the one you seem to keep coming back to. You could have Juniper Clementine?

Zephyr is your and your DP's top pick for a boy, right? So you can stop agonising over that decision Grin

I thought Zephyr was set in stone and we'd almost sorted the middle name?? Hmm

I have reached the point where this has become a perfectly lovely choice for either a boy or a girl. Has your DH turned to drink yet?? Hmm

Grin

Just in case you refuse to take my brilliant advice above... Clementine does not go with Skye & Arlo - it belongs in the fruit aisle with tangerine and satsuma and is far too snotty to go with S&A. Though given your other name choices for a girl, I'm hoping you have a boy Grin

Ivy and Caspar. I do like Otis but it's too similar to Arlo IMO.

My 2 favourite for each:

GIRLS:

Clementine
Ivy

BOYS:

Caspar
Ruis (roo-ish,meaning-elder tree-associated with winter solstice)

I really want to keep Ruis in there as a MN I think...I love the meaning.

Zephyr Ruis?
Or does it need another name in between them to stop them blending together?

Juniper Ivy
Juniper Flora
Juniper Paccia (Pash-ee-a meaning peace)
Juniper Mabel

Paccia makes Juniper and your surname very 'peter piper picked...'. Love Mabel as a mn (and actually as a name altogether but don't want to put the at amongst the pigeons!)

Agree Zephyr Ruis blends, and Zephyr Otis Ruis makes the two mn's too similar-

What about
Zephyr Asa Ruis
Zephyr Milo Ruis
Zephyr Caspar Ruis

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 23/11/2013 10:44

Zephyr Asa Ruis and Zephyr Caspar Ruis are both fab!

You're right about Paccia,I hadn't thought...another one off the list is good,though!

What about juniper acacia ?

No no no to Zephyr or Caspar. They make me feel funny for some inexplicable reason.

Clementine also makes me feel funny, but that is because, in my mind, it would be shortened to 'Clem', which makes me think of 'phlegm'.

I realise I may be the only one who thinks like this Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 23/11/2013 13:00

Juniper immediately makes me think of the smell of gin. Imagine a little gin-smelling baby!

No no no

Flora smells of margarine. Again, just no.
