Flora

Orietta
Ivy
Dulcie

BOYS:

Caspar
Ruis (roo-ish,meaning-elder tree-associated with winter solstice)

Im well aware most of them are quite marmite...but we like them.

I'd say Flora is more popular in the South than in Scotland. It does sound like a Telegraph type name.

cloggal · 22/11/2013 15:29

Stand corrected, only 19 Floras in Scotland in 2012 (though that probably equates to 190ish in the English results). Only three less than Florence with 22. But 23 called Ivy!

(I always think of Flora as a bohemian, folksy name, so funny squoosh how people hear then differently!)

ToffeeJungle · 22/11/2013 15:37

Flora or Caspar.

Was going to saw Asa but the only Asa I've ever come across was female???

Allalonenow · 22/11/2013 19:47

If you are worried that Flora will be too popular, what about Fleur? Very pretty, sweet for a child, but also works well for a grownup, so much nicer than Ivy and goes with the names of your other children and your surname.

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 22/11/2013 19:50

I'm not a fan of Fleur.

I seem to stand alone but love Clementine out of those 3

MortifiedAnyFuckerAdams · 22/11/2013 20:13

Flora and Otis.

As an aside.....live birth thread..yes?

I can try Mort I can try Grin

NarwhalKnickers · 22/11/2013 20:46

Zephyr and Juniper.

You have to use Zephyr for me, my other two have sensible names with slightly out there middle names and using Zephyr as a first wouldn't fit properly Angry

Flora is getting much more popular and I think Clementine is a bit too long with your surname.

Mellowandfruitful · 22/11/2013 21:15

Now you've ruled out Otis, Flora and Caspar.

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 22/11/2013 21:32

No I haven't Confused

Have I?!

OP posts:
Mellowandfruitful · 22/11/2013 21:42

Oh, is it back on? Flora and Otis then.

Ah, wait... I see. Sorry, I should have typed

Now you've ruled out Otis, I think you should go for Flora and Caspar. Smile

babyfedleaning · 22/11/2013 21:45

I wouldn't use Flora as it looks like Arlo backwards to me. I think I see things a bit differently though so am probably alone in this!

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 22/11/2013 21:47

Ahhhh, yes I see Mellow that had me totally bamboozled Grin

OP posts:
eatyourveg · 22/11/2013 21:54

Casper and Clementine

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 22/11/2013 21:55

Zephyr and Flora are DP's favourites

Zephyr is my favourite boys name...very closely followed by Ruis.

I cannot decide between the girls names. At all.
Not even to go with DP's choice of Flora and be done with it...because then I think Nooo it needs to be Juniper and then I panic... Noooo Clementine!

Someone help me with first name middle name combos...maybe that'll settle it...

squoosh · 22/11/2013 21:57

As the weeks go on Frigg is starting to look good to me.

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 22/11/2013 21:58
Grin

FetaCheeny · 22/11/2013 23:03

I like all your boys names, except maybe ruis as I think it will be constantly mispronounced. Girls names I only really like Flora (very pretty with your other dc's) maybe Juniper. I can't think of clementine without thinking of a round orange fruit, and i find it just too posh. That's just my opinion though. I love skye as its quirky and cool and i could imagine it crossing all social groups, same
goes for zephyr,Asa, Caspar, whereas clementine is a bit too rah for me but feel free to ignore me Smile

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/11/2013 23:06

Dulcie and Asa.

(I can't keep up with the rulings in/out)

Kikibee · 22/11/2013 23:09

I love love love Juniper, please use this name if you give birth to a lovely girl Grin

squoosh · 22/11/2013 23:11

Skye and Arlo are quite boho-ish, I agree that Clementine is a bit too stuffy to with these names.

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 22/11/2013 23:34

Interesting,I'd never thought of Clementine in that way...and it does sort of tip the balance for me that it's perceived that way...

I Think I'm down to

Flora or Juniper
And
Zephyr

Wowzers...maybe this thread really is helping... maybe this baby will actually get a Name! Shock
