Changing sons name? Anyone done it?

All this turning over names for bump, has got me thinking more about my ds.

We double-barelled mine and dp's surnames, as at the time I wanted ds to have my name too! I carried him for nine months and gave birth to him goddamit Grin

Now though I regret it. I think its too long and too much of a mouthful. I had a double-barelled surname as my parents split, and I hated it growing up.

Considering giving this baby just dp's surname so would mean changing ds's. How would I do this? Has anybody changed a name choice they regretted later on?

Just drop half the name, you don't need to change anythgin officially.

As I child I was only known by the last bit of my double barreled name. Now I prefer to use the long version.
