Middle name for Alexandra?

ThePowerOfCake · 13/11/2013 10:31

Alexandra is currently top of our list for DC1 but I can't seem to pick a middle name to go with it. We like fairly traditional names and want to avoid the really popular Grace, Rose and May.

A lot of our other name choices sound odd with it as they either end in a or er or start with a vowel and sort of get "lost".

There are no decent family names for us to use either. Help!

Surname is 2 syllables, beginning with M.

Oooh some food for thought here. I love Catherine and Beatrice. Aurora is fab, but sounds hilarious when DH says it, so probably not a good idea.

Clare?

My daughters middle name is Clare, she has quite a 'modern' first name so something quite traditional works.

I also like Zoe, nice zippy contrast to a weighty first name.

Inglori0us · 15/11/2013 18:38

I have an Alexandra Violet.

Augustbaby2013 · 15/11/2013 18:50

Belle? Worth thinking she may get shortened to Alex or Lexie so pick something that flows with with those too xx

FeckinNC · 15/11/2013 19:03

I know an Alexandra Lauren and think that is a good name

Wishfulmakeupping · 15/11/2013 19:05

When I saw pp suggestion written down, I thought it would be a bit of a mouthful, but actually I think Alexandra Beatrice is lovely.
