DS2 will be born in 12 days, a brother for 2yo Samuel Jack (Jack after a grandfather, Sam because we liked it). After MUCH deliberation, we've decided on Benedict Anthony (Anthony after my dad, Benedict because we like it, Ben goes nicely with Sam and because it isn't popular). I'm 99.7% certain this is his name, but as I don't know anyone either called, or with a DS called this, I'm after opinions!

I 110% promise it's not after Mr Cumberbatch, I don't actually 'get' what all the fuss is about him!

It's lovely.

Good choice. Good Luck.

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 09/11/2013 10:15

What letter does your surname begin with?

Yama · 09/11/2013 10:15

I love Benedict and think middle names after family members is just lovely.

ThisIsYourSong · 09/11/2013 10:21

Ned's better than Dick!

TheNunsOfGavarone · 09/11/2013 11:29

Actually maybe not if you're in Scotland.

scottishmummy · 09/11/2013 11:31

Benedict is lovely name,I wouldn't associate it with actor

lljkk · 09/11/2013 11:33

Is Ben that not popular? We know loads in DD's cohort (current yr 7s).

Featherbag · 09/11/2013 11:45

Benjamin's popular, but Benedict is about 370th on last year's list!

Dick will induce similar smiting.

I know plenty of Benedict's. All nicknamed Ben. Great choice!

Layl77 · 09/11/2013 16:22

Lovely

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 09/11/2013 16:29

V nice. Mr C is v odd looking - I don't get it either. I think Ned is lovely, tbh.

Sleepy678 · 09/11/2013 16:55

Love Ben. So simple & timeless & suits any age.

Coupon · 09/11/2013 17:47

Benedict Anthony sounds great. Lovely choice.

PistachioTruffle · 09/11/2013 22:27

I think its great, it sounds lovely on its own and 'matches' nicely with your ds1's name Smile

Featherbag · 09/11/2013 22:42

That's sorted then, thanks for the replies! Well, unless he comes out looking nothing like a Ben.
