Suggestions for DS4?

Looking for a bit of inspiration. We already have Danny, Finn and Kit. I am (Northern) Irish but living in London, DH all English (also living in London, handily enough Grin)

Frontrunners are Ruari (me) and Eric (DH). Any more ideas/compromises to through into the mix?

Thanks Grin

Sean? Max?

Sleepthief · 04/11/2013 07:03

Thanks, but too many negative (spidey) associations with Sean and DN is a Max

Ruari for me.

Gus or Rex as extra suggestions.

loren986 · 04/11/2013 07:19

I quite like Ruari, also I think Jack would fit quite well with the other three children.

Sleepthief · 04/11/2013 07:32

Thank you. I like Ruari, but DH seems to think he gets a say Hmm. I also think Jack is fab name and like the idea of cocking a snook to the popularity naysayers; there are a few Jacks close to the family, though...

Oh those crazy husbands of ours. That always seems to ruin my best ideas, there is always an existing cousin or uncle for every name I think up!

Rumplestiltskinismyname · 04/11/2013 07:52

How about Rowan?

Sleepthief · 04/11/2013 07:56

Love Rowan, but it wouldn't work with our surname... Plus DS1 has a best friend so called.

Franky. Smile

Sleepthief · 04/11/2013 08:34

Franky/Frankie is great - was on the list for DS1 and 2. I just don't think I can have a Finn and a Franky though...

I have a Finn, my nephews Franky so I couldn't use it but it is quite hard shouting them in the park I'm always mixing them up!

Bowlersarm · 04/11/2013 11:09

I love your DSes names. Are they short for the longer versions?

I don't like Eric at all.

Is Ruari pronounced the same as Rory?
Angus
Edward nn Teddy

(I'm finding suggestions difficult for some strange reason)

Sleepthief · 04/11/2013 11:59

Yes, Ruari would be pronounced the same ax Rory. I like Fergus, Gus for short, but DH not so keen. dS2's middle name is Edward so can't really repeat... Thanks for all the suggestions, though. You're just consolidating what I know - Ruari is the one. Now how to persuade DH?

Sleepthief · 04/11/2013 12:08

Bowlersarm Danny is Daniel on his birth cert, but has always been Danny, Finn is Finnbarr - we interchange these, though he's determined him name is just Finn Grin and Kit is just Kit (slightly randomly)

DitsyDonkey · 04/11/2013 16:25

Ruari is nice but I HATE Eric, I don't know what it is about the name it's just awful!

Others that may fit with your other ds (which are great btw)

Rufus
Wilbur
Rafferty
Asa
Ezra
Rudi
Diccon

Irishmammybread · 04/11/2013 16:29

Bowlersarm · 04/11/2013 16:39

Archie
Jacob
Lucas

I would go with Ruari though. Work at persuading your DH.

Bowlersarm · 04/11/2013 16:39

Theo

TheArticFunky · 04/11/2013 17:38

How about Johnny or Mickey?

I like the names you have chosen so far they sound like a cool little gang of brothers.

baskingseals · 04/11/2013 17:44

Arlo

Rufus

Louis

Nico

Sleepthief · 04/11/2013 18:49

Thanks for the ideas. Working on persuading DH. DS1 and 3 are onside; DS2 is a bit of a wildcard and veering between Baby Batman and Jason the Egg Hmm
