It's Zephyr

I know it's a bit marmite but I don't care.

It's a 'real' name,it works with sibling names, gives cool nn's Zeph or Zephy...fits all our criteria Grin

Never heard it - but love it Grin not that you asked!

I love the suggestion of North as a mn and also Quinn.

Zephyr Jude sounds awesome!

Mogz · 03/11/2013 17:21

A wonderful name Frigg, it's been my favourite word for most of my life, never thought about using it as a name. I may be a little biased towards Robin as a middle name... Even if I do prefer it spelt differently, but seeing as you're expecting a boy I suppose you should stick to the right spelling for his gender.

Mogz · 03/11/2013 17:23

Oh hang on, what about Zephyr Ray?
And ignore my waffling a about expecting a boy, I've become confused (not difficult!).

sonlypuppyfat · 03/11/2013 17:25

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 03/11/2013 17:33

taffleee · 03/11/2013 17:41

I have to say, just read ' frost' and thought awesome - Zephyr Frost, Cracking name xx

HappyJustToBe · 03/11/2013 17:42

My first thought was James, as well.

Floggingmolly · 03/11/2013 17:43

Why did you feel the need to clarify it's a real name in your op?
I imagine you'll be doing that quite a lot, and so will your ds.

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 03/11/2013 17:49

It was just part of the criteria, not about this name particularly.

And I don't expect I will...DP hardly ever has a problem with his very unusual girls name.

Zephyr Fox sounds like an actual animal. Like Arctic Fox only windier.

KatherinaMinola · 03/11/2013 18:32

How totally crazy - I was thinking about just this name while out in the park this morning (probably because it was windy) and thinking what a cool name it was!!

For the sound, I like Zephyr Cain, but that has unfortunate connotations. I agree a one-syllable name would be best. The Biblical names go quite well, because Zephyr sounds a bit Biblical, even though it's Greek.

KatherinaMinola · 03/11/2013 18:33

Also, given that it's the name of a Greek god, I don't think it would sound toooo bad on a high court judge...
