So our dd1 has a rather unusual/bold name that we love (Briar) however struggling to 'match' it with a name for dd2. We like Margaret but is it too traditional (however beautiful) that it sounds odd with dd1?

my dd is a merryn :) it is unusual and we get lots of commemts on how unusual and lovely it is :)

lots of the other names memtioned were also on our list.

Agree that Margaret and Briar don't really 'match'.
I like the suggestion of Rowan.
