Numerology - do you consider it?

Sorry - I am sure this is ridiculous, never been superstitious, happy to open umbrellas inside, walk under ladders etc. But I find myself running every name suggestion (first, middle (which is decided), and surname) through numerology website to "check". Now finding I'm dismissing names we actually like because they don't "fit" well numerologically. Blush

Someone check and tell me this is not accurate!! Is this normal baby naming stress response?! Grin

I don't check it as choosing a name is hard enough. Plus how can it conceivably offer any value?

If you take 10 Jacks, they are going to be born to 20 parents with 20 different inputs, a huge mix up of genes, 10 sets of individual experiences etc-how can anything correlate all of that anecdotal/hypothetical information?

Don't drive yourself insane-stop looking!!!

Yes. I did. runs off quickly

Rhubarbgarden · 02/11/2013 22:04

It's a load of bollocks. There you go. Now choose a name you like.

Mumpire · 03/11/2013 21:38

how does it work then? too late now

onlyentropycomeseasy · 03/11/2013 22:57

You're crazy.

Enterce · 28/10/2019 08:44

It is very hard to say

Naomimi · 28/10/2019 14:53

Total tosh. As long as you’re not calling them anything offensive or embarrassing, just pick the name you like best!

diddlediddle · 28/10/2019 17:54

Newsflash: your child's personality will be determined largely by genetics. Anyone who has had a baby knows they pretty much come out the same as they are as they grow up. The name you choose for them has absolutely nothing to do with it!

bridgetreilly · 28/10/2019 18:07

No, because it's bonkers nonsense. HTH.

Tillygetsit · 28/10/2019 22:32

Oh god! I've frantically scanned names at the end of credits, looked at biblical, classical, unusual lists until they are coming out of my ears and now there's this?! What are you doing to me, woman?! I will not look...I will not look....
