We have a mixed bag of names on the list and, with (hopefully) 2 weeks to go, still can't agree. Henrietta was favourite, but not so sure over recent days. Also in the running are...

Astrid
Blythe
Georgina (though fear a rash of the blighters post royal male equiv)
Hebe
Madeleine

All views on the above plus alternative suggestions welcome!

My friend's daughter is called Hetta which I have always assumed is short for Henrietta - lovely.

Caip · 28/09/2013 08:21

I love Henrietta

From your list I like Blythe best.

I always imagines Henriettas to be pompous and sneering, and ruddy cheeked for some reason.

OutragedFromLeeds · 29/09/2013 03:05

From your list I like Madeleine best.

I love Georgia, but not Georgina.

Henrietta is ok, but prefer Harriet.

Not keen on the others.

elcranko · 29/09/2013 09:09

I think exactly the same as outraged !

Madeleine is my favourite from your list. I also prefer Georgia and Harriet.

UriGeller · 29/09/2013 09:16

I love Hebe, Astrid and Blythe but not Henrietta. It's too ok yah, snort snort pony club girl to me.

ToffeeCaramel · 29/09/2013 09:20

I like Georgina

ZiaMaria · 29/09/2013 09:36

I like Hebe and Blythe.

Writerwannabe83 · 29/09/2013 10:07

I have never been a fan of Henrietta, it always reminds me of "Duck Face" from Four Weddings and a Funeral" Smile As others have also said, I love Harriet. I suggested to but husband has said no!

I like Blythe - not common but very beautiful Smile

TallulahBetty · 29/09/2013 12:23

Like Astrid and Blythe, don't like the rest.

Twiddlebum · 05/10/2013 05:05

Henrietta was on our short list for a girl along with

Ariadne
Matilda
Hermione
Tabitha

Sunnysummer · 05/10/2013 06:25

Love your list. Henrietta is my favourite, as it's quite unusual and a good mix of spiky and feminine - plus Henry is such a cool nickname for the right type of girl Smile

Hebe and Astrid are great as being strong and uncommon (I like Phoebe and Ingrid too), and Madeleine is pretty though a bit more popular in our area - same for Georgina, and I'd agree with you about the royal baby. Not such a fan of Blythe, it feels more American and less timeless than your others.

TooTryHard · 05/10/2013 07:21

The only one I'm not keen on from your list is Blythe.

We almost had Henrietta and it was a delivery room decision in the end. I think the very posh connotations put me off but it's a lovely sounding name.

SatinSandals · 05/10/2013 07:23

Georgina is the only one I like.

AuntPittypat · 05/10/2013 07:25

I really like Blythe.

shoobidoo · 05/10/2013 07:28

Love Henrietta!

HasItStartedYet · 07/10/2013 20:08

I like Clarissa. She can be Clara for short.
