Frances - classic or frumpy?

I was thinking classic and beautiful and now I'm wobbling.

I wanted it for dd - dh wasn't convinced. So we settled on it being her middle name. It was my grandma's name.

I like it. Frankie makes a nice nick name too

I like it, but I don't think of it as a beautiful name - I think because it is so close to the boy's name Francis.

So I think of it as a 'strong' and non-girly girl's name (but in a good way!).
