Dexter
Maxwell
Teddy
Finley
We have whittled our very long list down to the above and think we agree on a favourite, however was wondering what other people thoughts are?
We are looking for a name that can be shortened into another real name that goes with William (Will) and Joshua (Josh).
Middle names are chosen in memory of our Grandads and will ne Frederick John.
Thanks in advance.

Finley or maxwell

mathanxiety · 24/09/2013 20:43

Maxwell. Maxwell Frederick John sounds good imo.

Will, Josh and Max.
Three boys!! Congratulations

Ham69 · 24/09/2013 20:44

Loving Dexter and Teddy. Would possible put Theodore on BC for Teddy though.

LauraChant · 24/09/2013 20:45

They are all lovely. I wanted Teddy for DS1 but I would have gone for Edward as the birth certificate name.

Sirzy · 24/09/2013 20:47

I like Teddy but only as a nickname for Edward.

Mumblyboo · 24/09/2013 20:47

I love dexter!

NooMyx · 24/09/2013 20:48

I'll vote for Maxwell.

FortyFacedFuckers · 24/09/2013 21:08

I love Dexter & Finley

Sadie204 · 24/09/2013 21:09

Not really keen on Finley Frederick, too many ffs lol. Other are lovely and work quite well with your other boys' names. Think Maxwell would be my favourite though.

elcranko · 24/09/2013 21:15

I like Maxwell best, it goes best with the middle names too.

LeMousquetaireAnonyme · 24/09/2013 21:17

Dexter is the only one which goes with the middle names, IMO.

Hassled · 24/09/2013 21:19

Teddy or Dexter.

Not keen on Maxwell, and while Finley/Finlay is nice enough, there are an awful lot of them around.

Bowlersarm · 24/09/2013 21:21

Teddy.

Perfect.

OutragedFromLeeds · 24/09/2013 21:45

I like Finley best, but I'd turn the middle names round to make it Finley John Frederick.

I like Teddy as a nickname, but it really needs a proper name imo. I'd go for Edward.

I like Max, but not Maxwell.

Don't like Dexter and don't think Dex is a proper name like Will or Josh.

pygmy · 24/09/2013 22:04

I like Finlay (not Finley) and Edward with the nn Teddy. Max is nice as a nn for Maximilian. Not keen on Dexter.

BlueShirtBlueTie · 24/09/2013 22:06

Out of those I like Finley and Maxwell.

Finley does seem to be very popular at the moment though, so based on that I would have to say Maxwell.

Tattiesthroughthebree · 24/09/2013 22:45

Maxwell.
William, Joshua and Maxwell.
Will, Josh and Max.

Sounds great.

LazyMonkeyButler · 24/09/2013 22:53

This is odd, but my mind will only let me say Will, Josh, Ben Grin.

Of your choices probably Max(well).

charleslingus · 25/09/2013 07:58

Teddy is bloody lovely!

Playboxpony · 25/09/2013 08:58

Like all of them except Dexter (sorry!). If you forced me to choose one, based on your other boys' names, I think I would probably also say Max. Yep, Will, Max and Josh are lovely seperately and go really well together,

Shnickshnack · 25/09/2013 09:26

Teddy? Really? I don't get it.
Maximilian rather than maxwell.

CPtart · 25/09/2013 09:32

Edward on birth cert, then Teddy if you prefer.

None of the others.

googietheegg · 25/09/2013 10:25

The only one as classy as your other names is Edward, nn Teddy.

Writerwannabe83 · 25/09/2013 12:24

I like Finley and Maxwell.

Teddy is nice but only as a nickname as other people have said. Everyone relates Teddy to a Teddy Bear and what pre-pubescent boy, teenager or adult male wants to be associated with a Teddy Bear?

CordeliaRose · 25/09/2013 12:33

I love Teddy! We had a very sweet cat with that name and my son, now in his twenties, uses it as his DJ 'pseudonym' along with my maiden name Grin
I like Finley and Maxwell too.
