This is def my last post! I've taken all your options in board and I've decided to aff the e to marnie. Still stuck on a middle name though. Dh loves rose and everyone I ask prefers rose but I think I prefer Lou. What do you think? I've got 2 weeks left to registar her.

Marnie Rose is Lily Allen's daughter. Not sure about Lou though. What about Louise?

Frontdoorstep · 15/09/2013 21:14

Louise is nice, as is Rose, didn't know about Lily Allans daughter. Don't think I would go for Lou tbh.

Tweediewalker · 15/09/2013 21:18

We have decided on rose for our dd, but Lou is nice too :-)

MrsBungle · 15/09/2013 21:18

Marnie is gorgeous, I'm not a fan of Lou.

Marnie Louisa?
Marnie Louise?

bootsycollins · 15/09/2013 21:20

Marnie Louisa for me please Smile

rachel234 · 15/09/2013 22:05

Marnie is great, as is Louise.

But Marnie Lou sounds like a loo named Marnie....

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 15/09/2013 22:10

Lou/Louise is an awful name,I should know,it's mine.

The connection with toilets is something I've never been able to reconcile myself with.
Why oh why name your child 'Lou'= toilet ' 'uise'=wee's.

Seriously people,it's not a nice name.

superlambanana · 15/09/2013 22:11

I'd go for the full name (Louise/Louisa) or Rose. I think Marnie Lou sounds a bit 1950s cheerleader tbh (sorry!)

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 15/09/2013 22:12

And you can't use Rose unless you want to look like you are copying Lily Allen...so back to the drawing board I'd suggest!

Mumblyboo · 15/09/2013 22:27

Marnie Grace?

Cezella · 16/09/2013 00:13

I childmind for a Marnie Rose who is 2 and a half- perhaps Lily Allen copied her!

LCHammer · 16/09/2013 00:16

Not Marnie Lou. Sounds fitting for Oklahoma.

LazyGaga · 16/09/2013 00:21

Reminds me of "Hello Mary-Lou, goodbye heart, sweet Mary-Lou I'm so in love with yooooouu"

Why not just Marnie?

Marnie Jane?

NadiaWadia · 16/09/2013 01:00

prefer Marnie Rose myself.

Onesleeptillwembley · 16/09/2013 01:07

Louise/a are both lovely names. Marnie is tacky made up and quite insubstantial. Just give her a nice real name.

burberryqueen · 16/09/2013 01:10

like the name Marnie - not sure that it is 'made up' - but Marnie Lou sounds awful sorry

AurorasShoes · 16/09/2013 01:35

Not keen on Lou. If you like Rose how about Marnie Rosalind?

Secretswitch · 16/09/2013 01:45

Marnie Lou is a name I associate with the American South. Seemingly, many Southern parents name their daughter's Bobbie Sue, Billie Jo, Debbie Ann...

Italiangreyhound · 16/09/2013 01:55

Personally not keen on Lou, how about something else simple like Rae. Or Ann? Eva? Fay?

Marnie is lovely.

Quite like Taya, Nina, or Lulu.
think my favourite would be Marnie Taya or Marnie Eva or Marnie Faye (in no particular order!)

Congratuations, please do let us know what you choose!
