peacypops · 14/09/2013 15:43

Ooh positive comments so far - thank you! Due in a few days and been struggling with boys names but think this could be the one!

It's very Enid Blyton.

melliebobs · 14/09/2013 15:50

Ooooo like this!

DSJamesHathaway · 14/09/2013 15:59

Really like it.

DanceLikeJohnTravoltaNow · 14/09/2013 16:03

manicinsomniac · 14/09/2013 17:03

I really like it.

Bowlersarm · 14/09/2013 17:10

Prefer Robert.

But I don't dislike Robin.

CressidaMontgomery · 14/09/2013 17:10

Dull

BikeRunSki · 14/09/2013 17:18

Good name, not massively well used, not massively unusual. I know 4 (50ish x 2 and 4 ish x 2)who are all lovely.

Jemimapuddleduk · 14/09/2013 19:44

Gorgeous, DH wouldn't let us have this on the list.

Frontdoorstep · 14/09/2013 19:52

Like this for either a boy or a girl.

peacypops · 16/09/2013 10:00

Thanks all - feeling quite excited that we may now have a name!

MrsJohnDeere · 16/09/2013 16:45

Perfect!

KatoPotato · 16/09/2013 16:47

I've got a Robin! He's awesome! 3.5 now!

We chose the name while pregnant, my Mum wasn't keen but now concedes it's perfect!

Oldandcobwebby · 16/09/2013 16:51

Really nice name. It has a wholesome, Enid Blyton feel to it.

UriGeller · 16/09/2013 16:55

Sorry, its always sounded a bit fey to me. A bit wimpy. Nice on a shy 5 year old boy but can't see it on a grown up.

Sockywockydoodah · 16/09/2013 16:56

I have a 6.5mo Robin. I love it. Is he your first?

I agree that it's a wholesome name - that's why I like it!

AndWhenYouGetThere · 16/09/2013 16:59

Perfect.

Sockywockydoodah · 16/09/2013 16:59

I think it will sound fine on a grown up. He can also easily use Rob if he wants to.

KatoPotato · 16/09/2013 17:03

We based it on the adult Robins we knew, my old senior Lecturer at Uni, DH's friend who is now a Doctor and fantastic set designer and artistic director.

I do get some asking if it's spelled 'with a Y?' but they are mostly idiots...
