Rory is lovely. Rory's are lovely.

noodlebum · 11/09/2013 12:34

I like Rory Smile. Maybe not a judge Rory, but then that test doesn't influence me!

squoosh · 11/09/2013 12:48

I know lots of adult Rorys, all pretty successful guys. One is a barrister so maybe he will become a judge one day!

absentmindeddooooodles · 11/09/2013 12:49

That was on my list for ds. Loved it but his dad had other ideas. Ended up with a jude instead but still love the name :)

SirChenjin · 11/09/2013 12:52

I can see a judge Rory.

I'm not so keen on it for 2 (admittedly stupid!) reasons - Rory the Lion, and it's very unforgiving if you happen to be unable to pronounce the letter 'r' Grin

MortifiedAdams · 11/09/2013 12:55

The only thing that would put.me off is if the child has a lisp. I would like my child to be able to pronounce his own name.

NationMcKinley · 11/09/2013 13:01

Love it. A friend has just had a baby boy and named him Rory. It's a great name

But there isn't an s in Rory Confused

MortifiedAdams · 11/09/2013 13:04

I mean one where Rs cant be pronounced (like Jonathan Ross) - Worwy.

bundaberg · 11/09/2013 13:06

congrats. boys rock Grin

Rory is a lovely name

hellokitty123 · 11/09/2013 13:45

Assuming he can pronounce his Rs, Rory is ok. Not a name I would choose personally, but I can't see why a Rory can't become a judge Hmm.

ChristineDaae · 11/09/2013 17:34

I wouldn't really want my child to become a judge all that much..
That aside, I LOVE the name Rory!

LST · 11/09/2013 17:49

Thank you for the comments. I love it and DS (22 months) loves it too Grin

I just want DP to agree.. I think he's swaying that way Smile

Great name

Justjanuary · 11/09/2013 21:58

I have two boys and funnily enough Rory was on our very short list although didn't make it to the very top. Lovely name for the young and the adult ! Still quite unusual as names go I think...which is nice ! Congratulation. 2 boys, a lot of work but a lot of fun !

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 12/09/2013 18:13

Rory is nice. Not on my list but I do like it

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 12/09/2013 18:14

I also have 2 boys. It has been wonderful

MyNameIsSuz · 12/09/2013 21:44

I love Rory, we couldn't do it as surname starts with an R, so I urge you to use it on my behalf!

adaloveslace · 19/09/2013 22:30

Justice Rory O'Hanlon was a very famous High Court Judge in Ireland. Smile

Great name. You meet more adults called Rory than babies in Ireland now I think
