James, Rafferty, Sebastian, Oliver

Or something else??

Must be able to shorten/nice NN. Don't like too hippy but worried about boring and safe. Totally stuck and only a few days to go!!

Oliver Smile

But then I'm biased, I have an Oliver Grin

A friend has just had a little girl who she's called Emma and her big brother is called Jack

evamummy · 02/09/2013 11:32

Love Rafferty or how about Hugo, Quentin or Raphael?

happyfrogger · 02/09/2013 11:34

Like all of those, but not sure I LOVE them. Oliver is cool but not struck by Ollie. Hugo lovely but worried it might be too poncy, and Rafael maybe a bit, Italian?? Boys names are so much harder!!

Emma's a good Saxon name, so how about:

Carl
Alfred
Eadmund

JustBecauseICan · 02/09/2013 13:50

James.

Emma and James. Beautiful- classy and timeless.

Oliver/Harry etc far too common at the moment (in the sense of popular)

Onyabike · 02/09/2013 14:33

James. Great name and "goes" perfectly with Emma.

rosielea · 02/09/2013 14:39

Daniel?

happyfrogger · 02/09/2013 19:15

Thanks everyone. I really like James too - you're right, it's a classic and goes well. Its a solid name built to last! It just doesn't feel very 'baby', I'm not sure what I would call him as a NN as I'm just not so fond of Jamie Hmm

Owen (but can't think of an abbreviation)
Joseph
Nicholas
David (Davy)
Alexander
Benjamin
Isaac (Zach)

mathanxiety · 02/09/2013 19:19

I know two little Jimmys and imo it suits little boys down to the ground.

ilovepowerhoop · 02/09/2013 19:26

I have an Emma and a Ewan. No nicknames needed.

Littlecherublegs · 02/09/2013 19:36

The Emma's I know have brothers Cameron and Barry (!!)

I think James, Daniel or Thomas go well.

BNmum · 02/09/2013 19:41

Markus, Henry, Harry or James

Wineandchoccy · 02/09/2013 19:44

RightsaidFreud · 02/09/2013 19:46

James
Eric
Adam

AJH2007 · 02/09/2013 20:32

Charles?

LauraChant · 02/09/2013 20:35

I have a James, he is Jamie now but as a baby we called him Baby James or Sweet Baby James!

My first thought for a brother for Emma was Oliver.

Slavetominidictator · 02/09/2013 20:47

First thought for brother for Emma is Peter. No idea why, just seems to go in my mind.
