Hmm can I say neither but maybe Luisa?

(Poet and don't know it)

CruCru · 16/08/2013 22:01

Eloisa. Wasn't there a Raquel in Eastenders?

mynameisslimshady · 16/08/2013 22:02

I can't even read the name Raquel without hearing it in a Del Boy accent. Grin

Eloisa is lovely.

thisisyesterday · 16/08/2013 22:03

mynameis.... I was going to say the exact same thing!!!

on that basis I prefer Eloisa

EmmaGellerGreen · 16/08/2013 22:05

I guess Eloisa is slightly less awful

Bunbaker · 16/08/2013 22:07

Wasn't there a Raquel on Corrie many moons ago? I must admit that the name reminds me of Del Boy's girlfriend as well.

BabyBrainMom · 16/08/2013 22:13

Never watched Eastenders or Corrie, so glad I posted here and Raquel seems like not a good choice ...
Does Eloisa not sound nice? Any other Spanish names that may be lovely?

Raquel is a bit chav IMO. Eloisa is nice, or I like Pilar too, if you're looking for Spanish names.

Mummyoftheyear · 16/08/2013 22:44

Louisa us nicer. Is that Spanish by any chance?

I prefer Eloise or Luisa to Eloisa but it is pretty in itself.

sleepingbeautiful · 17/08/2013 06:54

Eloise is nicer than Eloisa IMO. Less is more.

Raquel, yes just hear Delboy!!

SeashellHoarder · 17/08/2013 18:09

How about Paloma, works in English and Spanish (means dove)

Otherwise I love love Maribel ( traditionally a diminutive of Maria Isabel. But now used in its own right )

SleepyCatOnTheMat · 17/08/2013 19:35

Second Paloma and agree Eloisa is much nicer than Raquel (but also prefer Eloise for some reason).

Eloisa - definitely! Beautiful.

NadiaWadia · 18/08/2013 05:19

They are both nice names, but prefer Eloisa. Ramona is nice too.

Layl77 · 18/08/2013 05:59

Raquel just screams 80's tarty woman. Eloisa nicer

ZolaBuddleia · 19/08/2013 14:42

Eloisa is lovely. As is Paloma.

BabyBrainMom · 25/08/2013 08:56

Thank you for all replies, dh not keen on Eloisa my favorite :( We are thinking of Luisa instead, Aviana or Alba, his favorite
