Robyn?

This is still hypothetical but the name came to me out of nowhere and now I can't stop considering it for any future DD2...

DD1 has a traditional 'A' name and is always known by the unisex diminutive. Would a second unisex name be overkill? The surname also begins with B which might not flow.

What do people think?

Love it :)

Kezztrel · 15/08/2013 09:09

I really like it :) I like the unisex nature of it and the fact it makes me think of robins.

LifeIsNow · 15/08/2013 09:13

I love it

RiceorChips · 15/08/2013 12:25

Love Robyn!

LaydeeJayne · 15/08/2013 12:27

This is dd2's middle name - love it!

Thurlow · 15/08/2013 13:48

Ooh, good feedback. But I do worry it would sound a little odd to give the name of two kids and neither of them be reflective of their gender!?

I love it, and I don't think it matters at all that you'd have two unisex names.

dancemom · 15/08/2013 14:29

As long as your surname isn't Banks Grin

Thurlow · 15/08/2013 14:31

Grin No, that I am a little worried that with a two-syllable 'B' surname it mightn't flow too much.

Love it, used to know one, affectionate nn Bob which I think is cute

sleepingbeautiful · 15/08/2013 22:32

I like it a lot.
The unisex thing is no biggie.

MrBlondesFries · 15/08/2013 22:38

I do like both names but IMO robyn and Alex might be a bit too much. Sounds a bit try hard tomboy. Just my opinion though. Both lovely names independently though.

OutragedFromLeeds · 16/08/2013 00:47

Love Robyn (and Rowan as well).

BelieveinWigan · 16/08/2013 02:19

Beautiful

ArabellaBeaumaris · 16/08/2013 07:09

I know two sisters called Robyn and Alex. The unisex thing does get noticed and commented on but if you like the name dont let that stop you.

TheOneAndOnlyFell · 16/08/2013 07:11

Robyn is gorgeous.

Twiddlebum · 16/08/2013 07:13

Love the name for a girl and is becoming more and more popular (I know 1 baby and 2 soon to be born Robyn's

grounddown · 16/08/2013 07:17

I wanted Alex for my DD but my brother is Alex and P said no, then I was convinced my 2nd was a girl and was going to use Robyn but he's a boy! I absolutely love both those names and am glad someone else gets DDs called Robyn and Alex as I would have liked.
