Nope, sorry - a lifetime of getting it spelled wrong and mispronounced. Annabel is lovely though.

I know an Ama and I love the name. But the family are Ghanaian and it's a traditional name there for a girl born on a certain day of the week.

I knew an Amabel who would now be about 40. I think it's pretty. Once we were corrected the first time, we never forgot it .

I think its really pretty I always think an unusual name is better :) go with what you prefer

There is a lady amabel Lindsay who lives just outside hungerford, I think it is a pretty name but I guess i am in the minority
