I went to school with a lot of girls who's names started La, so LaTeesa, LaTissa etc. They all had very similar names (5 or 6 girls) but all different and now I've left school I've never come across a LaT in my day to day life.

No idea. Never met her. It was someone in a school my friend taught at. She just asked me if I would know how to pronounce the name?

Maud2011 · 11/08/2013 12:22

I had heard of the name Thirza, quite popular in the C19, but until yesterday had not met a living Thirza.

Ladasha/L-a is the urban myth which refuses to die. AFAIK there's still no children actually registered as L-A but I live in hope...

I've never met a real person with the same name as me though I know there are two other MNers with the same name.

I only know one of the following...

Peta
Ludmilla
Ludovic
Merlin
Phinebus
Willoughby
Erasmus
Taliesin
Sennen
Pollyanna
Angel
Baz (full name, he's 6 and BRILLIANT)

Me, too Grin And how about a 4TsQ and a P2la?

youarewinning · 11/08/2013 15:43

Text my friend earlier. She has no idea if the name was her real name or 'preferred' name. It was an interview so she was only teaching the class for half an hour. She said girl was white and very well spoken and genuinely lovely. She turned down the job as didn't like the headteacher and accepted a job 20 miles away so never has come across this girl since.

garlicagain · 11/08/2013 15:44

I used to think it would be fun to have a son, named "[my surname] hyphen". So, with my married name, he'd be called something like Johnson Hyphen Johnson-Smith.

Good thing I never had one, eh Wink
