Not so long ago, I met an Arabis. Apparently it's a type of flower (had never heard of it), but I though it was a really pretty and unusual name. Think she was nicknamed Abi.

Rhubarbgarden · 10/08/2013 09:19

I knew a Sunflower years ago.

All our DD have flower names as middle names - they now think this is mandatory and try to insist that my DH's middle name should be Dandelion!

posybunchof · 10/08/2013 17:31

I know a little girl called Hebe. I think it's a gorgeous, classy name, and unusual. And even my horticultural dictionary mother didn't know it was the name of a plant so it is not obviously 'flowery'.

pommedechocolat · 10/08/2013 17:36

Sorrel (LOVE this)
Violet
Willow

I have a Holly and dd2's middle name is Hazel. My maiden name was a tree.

I like plant names!

justhayley · 11/08/2013 11:11

Willow & Primrose - she could use Rose if she felt primrose was too cutesy / hippy
