Does anyone know an Ulric?

Just found this when looking through a baby names book. I quite like it but the only Ulric I can think of is Heath Ledger's character in A Knight's Tale. Does anyone actually know an Ulric?

Can I ask how old they were and did the name suit them?

One would be mid-40s now and the other mid-30s, very different characters - the first used to wear cardigans and was quite geeky but in a nice way - he suited the name, the second one was quite bohemian and had lots of girlfriends - he suited the name too. Both were very fair.

The only Ulric I heard of was a romantic sort of character from a fairytale I read long ago, a proud baddie who was eventually redeemed by the love of his long lost daughter. I have never met an Ulric in RL. Rather like the name.

Yes it's very much an old mans name in Ireland.

I don't think we'd actually use it as it doesn't really flow with our surname but I do really like it.

My grandmother's dad was called Ulrich. Never known or met anyone else.
