What are some thoughts on the name Ella. I thinks its very pretty just considering it.

It's a beautiful name am has always been on my 'short list'.

But it's hugely popular now which puts me off a bit tbh.

It's nice.

But I was in a UK classroom on the first day of the summer holidays where a reception teacher was labelling her class drawers. There were SIX with Ella or variations of it...

There are about 3 in every year at DSs school. Either Ella or Ellie or as a nickname so I wouldn't use it. DS has Ellie G and Ellie B and Ellie S in his year!

How about Ellen? I have an Ellen and her name has never been shortened.

mineswine · 08/08/2013 23:31

How about Gabriella, Eleanor or Eloise with nn Ella?

Amy106 · 10/08/2013 04:06
