Hi,

our DS was born today!

We have a list of names but I wanted to ask the opinions of your good selves!

We are thinking about;

Wyatt
Bertie
Felixstowe
Dexter
Cooper
Flynn
Jesse

Any thoughts would be welcomed!

Cheers

Congratulations!

Felixstowe is a fairly grim port. Don't go there (literally or name-wise). Apologies Felixstowe-fans.

Of the others, my favourites are Bertie or Jesse.

Haha!! Thanks all!

We loved Bertie - but upon meeting him , it doesn't suit him.... We don't think!

I like:

Flynn
Jesse
Bertie
Dexter

In that order, the others are really not good.

Congratulations Flowers

MortifiedAdams · 04/08/2013 18:46

Jesse

fanjodisfunction · 04/08/2013 18:51

I love Wyatt, my friend has a three month old called this, he is adorable.

formicadinosaur · 04/08/2013 18:54

Congrats!!!!!!! Bertie is just too cute. Love it. Flynn and dexter also.

wizzler · 04/08/2013 18:56

Like Dexter, prefer Flynn

Jambo77 · 04/08/2013 18:56

The thing is I have a mental image of him when he's 21 or older , introducing himself as Jesse or Bertie?

Am I being daft in thinking they are names that suit a child but not an adult?

OP posts:
Catnap26 · 04/08/2013 19:01

I love dexter

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 04/08/2013 19:01

Bertie is perhaps a little childish, not Jesse though I don't think...how do you feel about Albert on the birth cert' and Bertie for everyday? Then he has more options as an adult.

ChippingInHopHopHop · 04/08/2013 19:02

Congratulations!!! How heavy was he? How are you feeling??

I like Cooper best (although it's not one I'd choose iyswim).

Bertie sounds like a bloke in his 80's Grin

Jesse - American music.

Dexter - Labrador.

Wyatt -Old/boring

Felix - cat

Flynn - 2nd best, but not keen

But hey - that's only my opinion, you'd probably think my choices were Australian surfie or boring!! LOL

Jambo77 · 04/08/2013 19:05

He's 6lbs 14oz! Two weeks early!!

And I'm infatuated with him already!!

Queazy · 04/08/2013 19:25

I vote Bertie! GorgeousSmile

HelpMePleaseImConfused · 04/08/2013 20:26

I know an incredibly cute baby bertie so after previously not liking it, love it. Although if it doesnt suit him i also like Felix and Flynn from your list! Congratulations!

Wishfulmakeupping · 04/08/2013 20:29

Congratulations :) I like Flynn and love Bertie if its a nn for Albert which is a fabulous name

Onesleeptillwembley · 04/08/2013 20:30

The only one that isn't stupid is Bertie. Please just don't.

Bowlersarm · 04/08/2013 20:35

If you like Bertie but can't envisage him as a 21 year old Bertie, why don't you do the MN favourite thing of having it as a nn for a longer name that he can then use if he wants to such as Robert or Albert.

Congratulations, enjoy those newborn snuggly cuddles.

mumofone25 · 04/08/2013 20:37

Congratulations! I really love Jesse and Flynn from your list.

DebK2012 · 04/08/2013 23:12

FELIX

Amy106 · 04/08/2013 23:42

Congratulations on the new arrival! Smile
From your list, I like Jesse and Cooper best.

rootypig · 04/08/2013 23:47

Congrats! my tuppence - I love Wyatt. Really like Jesse and Felix. Think Bertie is ok but will rapidly date - the nn as name trend. Cooper is a surname in my book - and he will get called Coops. Don't like Dexter at all, sorry - but then my DH obsessed with the dreadful serial killer programme...

rootypig · 04/08/2013 23:48

Gah sorry - should have said really like Flynn too.
