How to choose?

My beautiful baby girl is now a week old and I'm still no closer really to choosing her name. My list originally had 22 names, then 10, now (I think) just 3.

I've been hoping and really thought that one of them would jump out and just suit her, but the 3 all seem like they would fit quite well.

So how to choose?

Mia
Penelope - Penny
Theodora - Teddy

Oh I would struggle too, I like all of those.

What does your OH say about them?

Forgot to say, it's just me to choose them. Stbexh up and left when I was 3 months pregnant. Our other 3 children have had their input though and love each of these names too.

Theodora (teddy) is my favourite.

Maybe try each out on her for a day or two? One might stick.

Use all three, put them in a hat and the one that's picked first is her name. If it doesn't feel right then pick again and again.

Then you'll know that its one of them or none of them.

Out of all of them I like Penelope with Mia as the mn

I love Penelope with Mia as mn. I like Theodora but think Theo or Dora might end up being nn's and not so sure about those. All beautiful tho - I agree with the hat idea Smilexx

I like Theadora but would shorten to Thea not Teddy.

Robbie William's daughter is called Theodora, don't know if that makes a difference to you. Out of the 3 Penelope is my favourite.

I would be tempted to use either Theodora or Penelope for nn potential/ adaptability reasons. I like Nell and Thea too, so there are lots of options there.

Very hard choice, but whatever you decide, she will have a lovely name! Congratulations on your new baby girl.

I love Theadora - I'd definitely go with that. Mia is nice, but there are so many of them about at moment

I think Mia stands out as being very different to the other two, not just in length. Not a bad name, but don't like it personally.

I like Theodora better than Penelope but Penny better than Teddy... so not much help :P

Does any one suit her siblings' names or her surname any better than the others? If you love them all equally and they all suit her equally then the best way to choose would be whichever is most 'convenient'.

Or you could give her two names from the list and interchange between them until you settle on one or the other. It's not unknown for people to go by their middle names.

I like Mia and Theodora best. Not keen on Penelope at all.

Just come back to let you all know that I've decided to go with Theodora, I think I ever so slightly preferred Penelope but after doing the call her by one of the names each day thing, Teddy definitely was the name that suited her the most.
