Very torn between:

Dorothy
Gwen
Bronwen

DD1 is Lucy. DH and I both like all 3 of the above names so are a bit stuck. What's your favourite of these 3?

I really like Bronwen. Haven't heard that name in a long time.

MargeSimpsonx · 31/07/2013 21:00

Bronwen
Olwen is lovely too

CPtart · 31/07/2013 21:00

Bronwen

SoftSheen · 31/07/2013 21:00

Dorothy!

Ikeameatballs · 31/07/2013 21:01

Not Gwendoline. Like the other two.

Ikeameatballs · 31/07/2013 21:01

Sorry, should be Gwen but iPad added the oline for me

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/07/2013 21:44

Really like Gwendoline with Gwen as nn.

KnittedC · 31/07/2013 22:06

Dorothy is lovely but Bronwen probably goes better

hurricanemum · 31/07/2013 22:17

Brownen is lovely (are you welsh out of interest?) Dorothy is also lovely. Would you use a nn? I don't like Gwen sorry.

squoosh · 31/07/2013 22:17

Gwen or Dot.

Beamur · 31/07/2013 22:19

I know a little Gwen who is super cute. Bronwen also lovely.
Less keen on Dorothy.

Rhubarbgarden · 31/07/2013 22:22

I love Gwen and Dorothy. Bronwen doesn't do it for me.

smother · 31/07/2013 22:38

wow, they are all absolutely gorgeous names, I'd be totally stuck if I was you! Love them all (sorry no help).

Onyabike · 31/07/2013 22:39

To me, the names on your list are all quite different to your dd1's name. I really like the name Lucy and would personally pair it with a more traditional name along the lines of Charlotte, Emily, Isobel, Annabel, Alice, Anna, Emma etc.....
Not really sure which of the names on your list I would put with Lucy TBH.

MoonHare · 31/07/2013 22:48

Not Dorothy; such a sensible shoe name, especially in comparison to Lucy.

Bronwen is nicest from your list imo.

Wbdn28 · 01/08/2013 00:52

Dorothy

sleepingbeautiful · 01/08/2013 04:16

I like Bronwen best.
Unless you switch Dorothy to Dorothea.

thamesk8 · 01/08/2013 11:55

Not sure any if them go with Lucy but my fav is gwen x

LazyMonkeyButler · 01/08/2013 11:58

None of those are names I would put with Lucy, but of the three I marginally prefer Gwen. Not much help though, as they are not to my taste. I love Lucy though!

Congratulations on DD2 Smile.

Thumbwitch · 01/08/2013 12:02

Claire. Grin

Bronwen is the name of a friend's sheepdog; Dorothy I like so long as you avoid the abysmal "Dolly" as a nn; Gwen has really bad connotations for me.

EatYourCrusts · 01/08/2013 12:31

I think Gwen goes really nicely with Lucy. Lucy and Gwen. Sorted! ;)

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 01/08/2013 16:48

I'd go for Dorothy, then can't decide between Bronwen (Welsh or Australian ime) and Gwen, (the mum on "Gavin & Stacey", lovely lady).

I like the abbreviation of Dory rather than Dottie for Dorothy.

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 01/08/2013 17:22

Gwen

Sorry, don't like the others

Still18atheart · 01/08/2013 18:00

I love Bronwen and I do like Gwendoline. Don't like Dorothy.

thegreylady · 01/08/2013 21:21

Dorothy first then Bronwen then Gwendoline
