So, Junior Panda almost has a name... DH prefers one, I prefer another. It's DEADLOCK - we need your help!

  1. Aubin Laurence Stephen [2 syllable surname starting with A]
  2. Felix Laurence Stephen [same surname]
  3. They're both hideous
  4. Either is good

Stephen as you might guess is a non-negotiable family name. I won't say who prefers which but would love to hear your thoughts.

Yes - you have 6 weeks, use it wisely Grin

I'm another 3. Sorry. (and that includes Bart & Gab)

Thank you to everyone who replied, yes, even those who voted for 3!

I'm really glad I started this thread. It has certainly confirmed that we all have very differing opinions on names and what is important (do initials matter? Brand names? Is Aubrey unisex?! Are alliterative names a big no and thus did I marry the wrong man!? Grin). As one PP said, it would be really boring if we all liked the same names.

I think the best advice was to go for the one we love, and we will. I'm not going to come back to say what we choose in the end (still in negotiation) as I don't want negative comments after we've picked IYSWIM.

Thanks again Flowers

Flowers? On a baby name thread? Must be the hormones

I think they are both nice. Never heard of Aubin before, but it's growing on me.

I love Laurence. I know a little Laurie (birth certificate name Laurence) and I think that's a great name.

Enjoy the little one.

DS would've been Felix, except it was too "matchy" with DD2's name
