Most of the names in drawn to seem to fall into the above category.
Please give me a steer towards something cool (if that doesn't sound pathetic) and classic for a girl...

I don't see why Ines wouldn't work in an English speaking country. I've never met one (although I do know a boy called Innes).

Iness is nice, I love Ellis though.

My favourite name at the moment is Camellia.

Ok. I think I know what my problem is. I'm looking for cool (I know that sounds silly), classic and outside top 100.

It doesn't exist!

DD1s primary school reception buddy was Naomi and despite DD being 15 and her being quite grown up they still chat if the run into each other in town.

I know you said not Charlotte, but Lottie is a great NN and the one I know is a real character.
Harriet
Ruth or Peggy (I'm not keen on Nancy, Titty is a non starter and Susan is every other girl in my class).
I also like Liberty and Ottilie, but wonder how many of these there will be.

I knew an Ines - she was nice, and very Scouse. I had expected her to be very icy-cool and snooty posh (work colleague in another office, so saw the name before I ever met her) so was pleasantly surprised.

My all-time favourite name is Cressida, but sadly never got to use it as it clashes with our surname Sad. I also like Annabel.

I've met one English Ines, but she's a few years older than me (we were in Brownies together).

I think your problem is that if a name is "classic" it's either going to be popular now (so fall foul of your "not too popular" criterion) or have been popular in the past (so fall foul of your "not old fashioned/vintage" criterion). Unless you go a bit foreign/exotic but still recognisable enough to count as "classic".

I would go with Lena. It's my youngest dd's name though we've gone for the more unusual spelling of Linah. Everyone likes it and there won't be anyone else in her class at nursery or school with the same name.
