means 'honey' or 'all sweetness' and is my Mums name so would be nice to use it but i can't decide if it is a name for me or not....my mum loves it and would be MADE UP if we named a baby after her..... she tried to get me to be brave and have Honeysuckle for my last DD as a partial naming after her..... what do you lot think of Pamela? Good, bad or just plain ugly....?!? Smile

I really like it! And other 60s names like Belinda. But I've never known one. Barbara is quite cool too! Grin

I know a very cool teen Pamela. Go for it. It's very cute!

thegreylady · 01/07/2013 20:51

Lovely :)

SugarMiceInTheRain · 01/07/2013 20:52

I love it. It's my mum's name too!

MakeItUpAsYouGoAlong · 01/07/2013 20:55

I know a baby Pamela and I love it

GwendolineMaryLacey · 01/07/2013 20:56

I really like it. Go for it.

HollyGoHeavily · 01/07/2013 20:57

It's a lovely name BUT every Pamela I have come across ends up being called Pam which is not lovely at all..

I think it would work well as a middle name :)

SweetEspresso · 01/07/2013 20:59

It's a nice solid sounding name, but pretty, too.

Ham69 · 01/07/2013 21:37

Plain ugly, sorry. Just don't think it's ready for a revival yet.
Would put it in the same vein as Barbara, Janet/ Janice and Deirdre. Just my opinion, mind.

JustPanicking · 01/07/2013 21:41

It's lovely. But for me you hear 'pamela' you think 'anderson'. Shame though and won't always be the case.

I don't like pam and don't think you'll be able to avoid that.

invicta · 01/07/2013 22:29
