what about Ezra?

Hello my dh and I want to call our baby boy Ezra. What says you?

I have a female colleague called Esra. She's from a Turkish background.

I'm not a fan of boys names ending in -a. Sorry.

It's a great name, an underused Biblical classic. Elias and Ezekiel are along the same lines I think.

I love it. It's high on my list if I have another boy.

Oh. I thought it was a girls' name too and thought it was really pretty.... now you mention it, I have heard of it as a boys' name. Do you have a foreign connection? If, like the first poster to reply, there's a foreign connection, I think it's fine, but possibly a bit much for a British boy.
