I like Harley but it doesn't sound 'right' to me tbh sorry. Maybe its a bit sing-songey and that's why I don't like it.

With Buckley I'd be thinking of names that don't have an 'ey/ee' sound at the end Smile

Eskino · 24/06/2013 10:51

Harley is like Barclay, Oakley, Bailey etc. IMO its a brand name.

Buckley is lovely, a village in North Wales. Sounds quite olde englishe as a boys name. Is Buckley your surname or an alternative to Harley?

Arthur Buckley sounds grand!

HoneyandRum · 24/06/2013 10:54

Not the best....

Vatta · 24/06/2013 11:04

It's a bit sing song, I don't think it goes.

noblegiraffe · 24/06/2013 11:05

It sounds like a rubbish motorbike.

Leo or Joel would be nicer :)

Rubysmommy · 24/06/2013 11:08

Nice name but maybe not with Buckley. As has been said, too many ey/ee sounds.

MarcelineTheVampireQueen · 24/06/2013 11:22

I love your surname though!!! I wonder if you're irish?

Fir boys, we have dylan, cathal, jake, darragh, noah ethan and jonah. oh and Alex

SoupDragon · 24/06/2013 11:23

Yes, it is silly IMO

squoosh · 24/06/2013 11:28

Yes, it's silly.

NappiesandGladrags · 24/06/2013 13:58

Not keen on any with Buckley - however that's just my opinion.

How about

Jonah Buckley ?

Arthur Buckley ?

Joseph Buckley ?

Heath Buckley ?

Noah Buckley ?

Dylan Buckley ?

Tobias or Toby Buckley?

SoupDragon · 24/06/2013 14:05

They're kind of stuck with Buckley as it is their surname.

SoupDragon · 24/06/2013 14:05

LOL - misread the start of your post :o

bugsybill · 24/06/2013 14:36

I remembered your last post and I still think Joel Buckley is a lovely name.

Leo Buckley is nice but it doesn't have the same ring to it. Harley Buckley is a little bit too rhymey. But Joel is perfect imo.

Iseeall · 24/06/2013 14:43

Joel Harley Buckley sounds best. You and dh both get to uses your favourite names.

Eskino · 24/06/2013 16:10

John Buckley

Ed Buckley

Dan Buckley

Strong male names sound good.

laylastar84 · 24/06/2013 16:45

Thank you for all your replies! Its so hard deciding on a name. I also think Harley Buckley sounds silly I now have proof to show DH!

Think we all said we preferred Joel or Leo.
I like
Adam
Aiden
Dan
Tom
Chris
all go well with your surname.

LifeIsBetterInFlipFlops · 24/06/2013 16:58

Yes it's silly.

AllegraLilac · 24/06/2013 18:45

Harley just doesn't sound like the name of a grown man to me.

scaevola · 24/06/2013 18:58

I don't think it does sit right with your surname. (And I'd assume that one/both parents are/were greboes, sorry).

kelda · 24/06/2013 19:01

I like the name Harley, but with Buckley is not so good.

Heath Buckley is a good suggestion, similar nature meaning to Harley, which is also an old english name meaning pasture/field.

KnittedWaffle · 24/06/2013 19:13

Joel or Leo sound much better IMO

MyNameIsSuz · 24/06/2013 19:28

I think Leo Buckley sounds lovely!

MyNameIsSuz · 24/06/2013 19:28

Though if your DH is really stuck on Harley, can I throw in... Harlan.

Turniptwirl · 24/06/2013 21:33

Yes especially since the only Harley I know is a girl!

I prefer Leo Buckley to joel
