Help me with a girl's name would you? I'm finding girls much harder than boys - probably because there are fewer boys names I actually like.

I like all of those. Astrid probably my favourite.

Alisvolatpropiis · 23/06/2013 13:32

How would you be saying Clara? If you're intending Klar-ah i'd say it was my favourite. If Claire- ah then I think Astrid is nicer.

NowPlayingZone · 24/06/2013 19:26

Good choices.
Today I'm rooting for Zara Wink

rockybalboa · 24/06/2013 20:09

Ooh, Astrid is a bit fab! I'm not opposed to any of the others but Astrid is streets ahead on the coolness front.

Smilehappy · 24/06/2013 21:02

Zara is beautiful Smile

TallulahBetty · 24/06/2013 21:25

Zara or Astrid.

Clara and Erin are ok.

Pippa makes my teeth itch.

RaRaZ · 25/06/2013 17:18

I love Zara too. Also like Astrid, but I wouldn't use it myself. It's Swedish, isn't it? I like the slightly exotic sound it has. Erin's quite nice too.

HATE Cara though I'm afraid - one of my least favourite names ever. Not a big fan of Pippa either, but it's ok.

WireCat · 25/06/2013 18:56

Erin or Zara

FetaCheeny · 25/06/2013 20:55

Zara Erin and Clara are all lovely

commsgirl · 26/06/2013 13:40

Yes to Astrid and Erin. And Clara actually although its not my style.

KLou1105 · 26/06/2013 20:37

MrRected · 27/09/2013 00:27

Clara or Astrid. Lovely names!!

mathanxiety · 27/09/2013 00:30

Clara or Astrid. Both have a nice nordic sound.

ZenNudist · 27/09/2013 00:41

Astrid is good. I've never heard ofhow to train your dragon but previously commented on it being a nice name watching "Fringe".

Hate pippa, it's surely short for phillippa which is a hideous name, not very current

kiwik · 27/09/2013 01:06

I really like Astrid. Not keen on the others on your list, although I like Pippi (as in Longstocking) over Pippa.

Sunnysummer · 27/09/2013 02:36

I love Astrid and Zara - agree with pps that when you know a person with the name it is totally separate from the shop. Erin isn't my personal favourite, but it is pretty too.

poppingin1 · 27/09/2013 02:52

Zara is lovely.

Pippa screams faux aristocracy to me any time I hear it, sorry.

Erin sounds a bit "meh"

Clara is a seriously boring name in some regions of Europe. Everyone and their aunt, cousin, grandmother and sister is called Clara in parts of Italy.

WinteronPluto · 27/09/2013 14:07

I like Astrid of the names you have suggested.

Seren is nice, bootstcollins

hashtagwhatever · 27/09/2013 14:50

Erin is my fave of the bunch. followed by Astrid.

not keen on others.

elcranko · 27/09/2013 16:27

I love Erin and Zara.

clr2014 · 28/09/2013 18:11

Was going to say Pippa... But am ?? at all the meanings....

Bowlersarm · 28/09/2013 18:13

Clara or Pippa

Alexa007 · 29/09/2013 02:38

Zara!! My dd's name - love it but bit biased!!:)

BrunoMarsBar · 29/09/2013 02:49

Sorry op you were Confused at my previous post which mentioned dr who, how to train dragon etc To clarify, no of course not a bad thing/all names have connotations/things you think of automatically.
In terms of relevance, there may be a lot of Claras over the next few years because of how many Whovians like the name and so you may find yourself with a vair popular name in the future.
Again, nothing wrong in that, just some people like names which are less ubiquitous.

I loved Astrid because the heroine is feisty.

Favourite of all those was Erin.
Least favourite was Pippa.

Have you chosen yet?!
