Middle name for Madeleine

Has anyone got any suggestions for a middle name for Madeleine? I'm not keen on Grace, and Rose is too similar to our surname. They are the obvious one-syllable ones but I'd appreciate some other ideas. Thanks!

Hope?

Clare.

I have a Madeleine Elizabeth. It is a bit of a mouthful but it's a family name! I agree a one syllable name flows better. How about...
Ruth?
Joy?
Hope?
Blyth?
Quinn?

Ruby
Larissa
Juliet

Georgia

I think it doesn't work with one syllable.

I read it out to myself and thought Dolores. Bit random.

May

I like the look and sound of the middle name ending with -elle

Madeleine Gazelle
Madeleine Michelle
Madeleine Giselle
Madeleine Estelle
Madeleine Arielle
Madeleine Roselle

Other one syllable ones

Madeleine Ruth
Madeleine Hope
Madeleine Wren
Madeleine Jane
Madeleine Jean

Ann(e)

Thanks everyone. So far I like Kate, Clare, May, Estelle. And I guess longer names shouldn't be ruled out, they don't sound too bad. Keep them coming please!

How about Madeleine Mary if you don't mind the alliteration. I think it's a lovely combination Smile

BananaRaces · 18/06/2013 13:31

Madeleine Louise... but then I might be bias, as it's a family name. Smile

ImaginaryHat · 18/06/2013 16:55

Jane/Jayne?

Greenandcabbagelooking · 18/06/2013 17:01

I thought May at first.

Sophie
Margret
Gretel/Gretl - bit out-there, but I think it flows

PoppyWearer · 18/06/2013 18:19

Not May - would be "Maddie May" if shortened. Too close to "Maggie May"?

mathanxiety · 18/06/2013 22:47

Madeleine Eleanor
Madeleine Isobel
Madeleine Annabel
Madeleine Abigail
Madeleine Emilie
Madeleine Antonia
Madeleine Antoinette
Madeleine Andrea
Madeleine Ava
Madeleine Aurelia
Madeleine Olivia
Madeleine Ursula
Madeleine Elizabeth

I think you need a mn beginning with a vowel..
