Thoughts on Angus??

We have a middle name picked out which begins with A as well (can't change it, family name and all)

I do really like it but I can't find it anywhere on baby name sites and daren't mention it in RL just in case someone has a horrible story about a great uncle Angus.

I'm not a fan personally but I'm sure there will be lots of people along to say they love it. It's uncommon without being unusual I suppose.

I quite like Gus for short.

I like it & it's cool without being too common which is a big plus. It's nice if middle names sound good with first names but if it's doesn't go too well don't worry as they're so rarely used together after the name is announced.

Good luck!

What's your surname like? I actually really like Angus, specially if you have a Scottish connection. I think it's a name that works well at all ages.

I really like it, and have it on my shortlist.

I'm not keen on Gus as a nn though.

I'm not keen on Gus either so would keep it as Angus. We've got Celtic connections, more Irish really but nothing has jumped at us from that way.

Surname is a very bog standard English one so that'll fit with anything :)

I like it but I think I prefer Fergus :)

I like Angus (don't like Gus at all, sounds like gusset..).
