Don´t know if DC3 is a boy or girl yet. 2 ds are called Louis & Oscar, so if its a girl, I want a strong, cool name.
Not keen at all on overly girly names Bella, Billy, Milly, Zilly, Bella, Mella, Molly, Lilly, Mia, Maya...you know what I mean! Beautiful for some, just not for me...
So far I like Mimi (family reasons), Clara (my husband is Spanish) and Indie.
Any other clever MN suggestions?

I love the strong Spanish names eg,

Sonsoles
Mercedes
Montserrat ( think this is Catalan)
Rosa

I would avoid Maria/Sophia/Isabella/Lucia if you live in Spain as they are sooooo common there at the moment? Not many names translate that well - my DD is an Ines and it's always mispronounced/mis-spelt in the UK, which may be a consideration if you're ever going to live here.

Haven't read whole thread but if my Dc3 had been a girl (he wasn't) she'd have been Lucia or Anna.

I was going to suggest Ruth but doesn't really work well in Spanish. I also knew a really cool beautiful Danish girl once called Lone (pronounced Lona and no reason not to spell it like that?). Marnie is also strong and would work with Spanish accent. Also Marina.

Mimi is in the same bracket as Mella, Molly, Lilly, Mia, Maya I would think. I like Clara. Not keen on Indie.

Strong and cool? Hmm

Lana
Josephine - can call her joe
Rosalyn, rosamund - roz
Catherine -cat
Charlotte - Charlie
Samantha- Sam
Danielle - Danny

As you can see I like girls names that sound a bit boyish or can be shortened to boyish as sounds a bit sassy
