Middle Name Help :)

Hello All,

We are fairly sure we now have our names. The girl's name is loved by both of us, the boy's is a bit of a compromise.

We have Esther for a girl and Francis for a boy. We would use Hetty and Frankie as day to day names (we've not really done this before, DD and DS are generally known by their full names, although DS's is shortened more now he is older).

Anyway, we want to use a family mn as we have with both of the others.

So for a girl the options would be:

Esther Frances
Esther Clare
Esther Emily
Esther Jane

For a boy:

Francis William
Francis George

Would appreciate any views :)

Love Esther Jane and Francis William or Francis James.

Sweet names!

I think the middle name 'Jane' is making a comeback. It was popular in the mid-60s I believe.

I second Jane (Claire just made me think of E.Clare).

I like William too.

What's your surname? I think I like Esther Frances and Francis George but depends on the flow of the full name.

I like them all though except Esther Emily.

LOVE both first names :)

Esther Frances- not so keen, not sure why?
Esther Clare- meh, bit boring
Esther Emily, prefer Esther Elizabeth if you want a double 'E
Esther Jane, love but I have a Hazel Jane!

I also like:
Esther Joy
Esther Louise
Esther Grace

Francis William/George, both lovely, strong names. William has the edge for me.

Also like:
Francis Edward/Edwin
Francis Henry
Francis Timothy
Francis Charles
Francis Sebastian/Solomon

Jane/William

Surname is two syllables, begins with an M, v boring and common.

Thank you for the suggestions, but it will definitely be one of the ones I've listed - all are after members of our family, same as dd and ds's middle names.

Surprised by the love for Jane! This would work well though, as it's mil's middle name, and dd1 has my mum's middle name, so they'd both have good retro mns :)
