How is kaelon for a boy name?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
SoupDragon · 03/06/2013 10:23

Hideous IMO.

showtunesgirl · 03/06/2013 10:24

My first reaction was: huh? Hmm

AuntieStella · 03/06/2013 10:26

How is it pronounced?

I've not come across it before, and don't take to it (looks like the name of a 1960s man-made fabric).

BarbieDahl · 03/06/2013 10:27

What soupdragon said

EuroShaggleton · 03/06/2013 10:27

Please don't...

wigglesrock · 03/06/2013 10:34

Is it a strange spelling of Caolan? or am I saying it completely wrong?

Catbert4pm · 03/06/2013 10:39

Are you a Trekkie?!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 03/06/2013 10:41

Agree with AuntieStella.

Bowlersarm · 03/06/2013 10:42

Not keen at all

ImTooHecsyForYourParty · 03/06/2013 10:47

That's from star trek, isn't it?

ImTooHecsyForYourParty · 03/06/2013 10:49

yes, I thought it is. Click here

I probably wouldn't use it, tbh.

ItsYonliMe · 03/06/2013 10:50

Agree with Stella...sounds like a fabric

seeker · 03/06/2013 10:50

Awful.

YoniMontana · 03/06/2013 10:54

Ridiculous.

mamalovesmojitos · 03/06/2013 11:09

Terrible.

Ham69 · 03/06/2013 11:40

Horrible.

Fragglewump · 03/06/2013 11:43

On the upside there probably will only be one in his class school and lifetime

farmersdaughter · 03/06/2013 11:45

My first thought was it sounds like something you put in your dishwasher to remove the lime scale!

Scruffey · 03/06/2013 11:47

No.

Badvoc · 03/06/2013 11:50

Awful.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 03/06/2013 11:52

Fucking hell! Poor kid! Is he actually from Krypton? Grin

Hedwig3 · 03/06/2013 12:52

I know a little girl called Kaelin and a little boy called Kaelen.

Pronounced Kay-lin and Kay-lun.

When she was born Kaelin's mummy's MIL commented "Oh, like the medicine kaolin and morphine?"

spiderlight · 03/06/2013 12:56

I know a lovely little Caelan and variations on the name do seem to be becoming quite popular, but the Kaelon spelling just looks a bit made-up and awkward, sorry.

nenevomito · 03/06/2013 12:58

It depends on whether you are writing a Sci-Fi novel, or planning to name your child.

If the former, its fab. If the latter, can't say I would.

StitchAteMySleep · 03/06/2013 13:04

I thought Star trek.

Then I thought colon.

I don't like it.
