Would you? Probably a family inspired middle name, but would it inspire a teasefest?

Makes me think of the verb, unfortunately :(

I'd definitely thinkof the verb, I'm afraid.

But if it's a family name and hidden in the middle, it might be inconspicuous to avoid the teasing.

burberryqueen · 30/05/2013 18:38

Roger the Cabinboy lol

Flosshilde · 30/05/2013 18:44

We had a cat called Roger. I chose his name, but I was 13 at the time. I still like it.

I'd use it as a middle name. I don't remember being aware of any of my compatriots middle names at school.

TheRealFellatio · 30/05/2013 18:44

No.

although for a middle name you can just about pull it off. But why would you want to?

Ham69 · 30/05/2013 18:49

No, please don't. I'll never forget being in Asda once and there was a sign above the meat counter saying 'Mike, your local butcher'. My brother turned around and said good job his name's not Roger. It did make me chuckle. I'm sure there was a chain of chicken restaurants in Soith Korea called 'Kenny Roger's Chicken' also Grin. Sorry but it's the butt (pardon the pun) of far too many jokes.

oh God no and I am very open to family names, I liked Donald, Richard, Bruce, all older men names. Not back in fashion yet...

PoppyWearer · 30/05/2013 19:12

No

MrsBungle · 30/05/2013 19:21

Well I do not think of the verb immediately but it is a terrible name.

DawnOfTheDee · 30/05/2013 19:23

No, sorry.

fanjodisfunction · 30/05/2013 19:25

this is going to be the middle name of my next if its a boy, its my Dads name, he is my step dad has always treated me as one of his own, and as Im the only girl propbably spoilt me a bit. I could never use it as a first name because of its other meaning but from what I know my Dad has never been teased for it.

MoelFammau · 31/05/2013 18:35

Yes. I know a few Rogers in their 40s/50s and they're all lovely. It's my boys name if that ever happens (it won't).

morethanpotatoprints · 31/05/2013 18:39

Oh, no, you couldn't. It would be inviting the bullies.
Plus its a very dated name. Not old fashioned, or traditional that's ok.
I wouldn't even use it as a middle name tbh.

outtolunchagain · 31/05/2013 18:41

No definitely not Biscuit

HorryIsUpduffed · 31/05/2013 18:43

Middle names are allowed to be shit. No problem.

But as a first name ... no way.

toffeelolly · 31/05/2013 18:46

No no

LittleRedDinosaur · 31/05/2013 18:48

Don't do it!
